My husband just loved our Airbnb we stayed at in Nebraska. I can’t speak too much of the town, only because we were kept in doors to do our office work all day until night, but inside we could not have felt more at home in this adorable boho-modern airbnb. This was our first Airbnb we stayed at where it was a shared front door with the owner. I was initially worried as normally when we stay at Airbnb’s instead of friend’s houses we just want to be alone but I was shocked at how not a big deal it was at all.
We only saw the guy of the couple once at check in as he lead us to our room and then left us to be after that. From then on, they were either gone or maybe once in their back room. I was super glad I got to get tail wags and pets from their adorable pugs every time we entered or left (they were behind the baby gate for the non animal lovers).
The airbnb was downstairs just a few steps from the front door and in a bottom level of the house. Everything was perfect and when I mean perfect, I mean PERFECT! They could not have thought through it any better. Fluffy robe, fresh slippers, high quality shampoo and conditioner (hairstylist product snob here!), complimentary teas, coffees, oatmeal, snacks, and everything was labeled so you weren’t opening 7 drawers before you found what you needed. There was even games and movies available.
The best part for me besides adorable furnished and decorated…. the cleanliness. I mean these people are OCD clean. They even offered a room refresh each day if you wanted it to have a quick vacuum and wipe down. We opted out, because how much dirt can be collected in the “no shoes house” carpet after 12 hours? They were even happy to refill any of the free food and drinks they offer. We did venture out into the Nebraska town both nights for dinner and there was a huge selection by the house including all the normal shopping places. We went down the road about 15 minutes to another area loaded with restaurants and shops.
And now for all the adorable pics!
If you are traveling to or through Lincoln, Nebraska I cannot suggest enough that you stay with Joanna, once again her place was incredible and we would definitely stop there again when traveling! Click here to book this wonderful, boho chic airbnb. Check out my other airbnb review when we were traveling through Missouri!
A couple other things we did in Lincoln, Nebraska
For eats we found this awesome little Thai restaurant called Blessings Thai and then we were able to walk down the shopping center to get some boba tea at Kung Fu tea. My husband loves to get Pad See Yew whenever we go for Thai and since it was a cold snowy night I went with the yellow curry to warm my stomach.
The next night the World Series was on and my husband is an avid baseball fan so we looked for a local place where the game would be showing. We ended up at Granite City Food and Brewery which had plenty of TVs, but no World Series game. My husband asked our server if the manager could change one of the channels to which they graciously obliged and we enjoyed our night of nachos, a burger, and baseball. After that we went back to the airbnb to rest up for the next day of travel.
