Fall is one of my favorite seasons when it comes to makeup. Fall ushers in earthly tones, bronzed and blushed colors, and of course deep browns, oranges, pinks, and reds. It’s a beautiful palette to work with and every fall look is complete with that perfect shade of lip color.

I was that girl that never wanted to spend a lot of money on makeup. When I got married, we decided to have a combined bank account and that came with accountability of spending money. Since we desired to follow a strict budget, randomly splurging down the Walmart isle wasn’t an option anymore.
When I did need something new, I mainly shopped within the Rimmel line. I thought it was affordable and had pretty decent makeup for the pice. Then Elf came along but Rimmel was my go to brand. I really loved their lip stains. When you first put it on it was glossy but after several minutes of drying, it turned matte. It seemed to last for a couple of hours…unless of course, I had something to eat, drink, or touched my lips.
I loved wearing lip color but it was always a dilemma going out to eat or going for coffee. I always had to decide if I was going to wear a bold lip color or not. If I did, it was either going to come off slowly during the course of the outing and possibly turn into a pretty awkward look of half lipstick, half not or I was going to come to dinner looking all dolled up but wipe it all off before I started eating. Or boring plan C, anytime I was planning on eating, drinking, or kissing my husband, just skip the lip color. Besides the lip color coming off, I am pretty sure 4 out of 5 times I ended up with lipstick on my teeth.

When Lip Color Actually Makes You Feel Cool…
About a year ago, my former boss, who owns Namaste Salon in Fort Collins, CO, introduced me to LipSense. I have to admit, I was pretty skeptical. I mean who cared if your lipstick lasted 18 hours? Well, that’s how I felt at the time. But here I am writing this blog in my pajamas working from home but still feeling like a #BOSS because my bright coral lip color is still on from LAST NIGHT! There’s just something about waking up to bright lips. It seriously makes you feel like you can conquer the world.
In about two weeks time, I became obsessed with LipSense and realized I had been missing out in the lipstick world. I loved that my lip color still looked amazing even after eating a couple meals. I also realized something else that wasn’t normal after using LipSense. My lips were no longer dry, cracking, and flaky. Back in my Rimmel days, some days I couldn’t even wear lipstick because my lips were just gross and peeling. I really didn’t understand why my lips were horrible because I used chapstick all of the time or would even slather coconut oil on them. However, after using LipSense for a couple of weeks my lips felt better than they ever had and consistently. They are so smooth!
I love that the LipSense isn’t dry and cakey feeling either when applied.
One day, I would love to try the Kiley Lip Kit to speak from experience but for now, I will have to take everyone’s word. Everyone that I have talked to about Kiley’s Lip Kit says the same thing. They say, “I love it, BUT my lips are so dry when using it and it gets flakey!” I’m not really sure what there is to love about dry and flakey. 🤔 That’s a shame it has some major downfalls because like a lot of you I love watching the Kardashians and seeing what they are up to. Perfect makeup, amazing hair (with or without extensions), and glorious fashion… yup, they have it going on in the beauty world!
After a couple of weeks, I knew they only way I could get ALL of the colors I wanted to have is if I joined the LipSense team and had the opportunity to sell this amazing lip color and I have yet to regret it! I love the ability to play in makeup and now have the amazing excuse to splurge on makeup because “it’s my job!”
